It’s a nice rug, I am a little disappointed in the thin spots along the edges in a couple of places. It looks good in my living room with my current furniture, the color is beige and a mid toned brown, not as dark as the pictures portray. It has shed an incredible amount, my robot vacuum has to go empty 1-2 times while vacuuming just the living room, it can do the rest of the house with 1 empty and there’s carpet in the 3 bedrooms. I wish I could take a photo that did this rug justice. It is absolutely gorgeous. The beige wool is almost golden. It makes the room so warm and cozy. It hasn’t had much time to rest so it may look a bit bumpyuneven. It will flatten overnight I assume. I vacuumed it thoroughly and it of course produced a lot of shed (to be expected with a wool rug), but it held up spectacularly. It’s so easy to vacuum, and is clearly of excellent quality. This is a very nice rug. It was very heavy to bring in the house but with a little help, we dragged it in and up the stairs. The style is nice and rug is very well made. It lays flat immediately. This rug was so absolutely perfect for my midcentury family room! The muted colors and optional illusion , mod design really pulled the space together. I did run my heavy duty, sweeper on it immediately. The result was a noticeable and soft fluffy feel under my bare feet. I absolutely love the design and quality of this rug. It adds such a warm and inviting touch to my space. The texture is soft and becomes even more plush after it settles post-unpacking. The only downside I’ve noticed is that every time I vacuum, the canister fills up quickly, but that’s to be expected with wool rugs. Overall, it’s a beautiful, high-quality piece. Very happy.. This beautiful handwoven thick shag rug is made from 100% New Zealand wool, using mill-spun yarns. Made in India, the yarn is locally dyed in the traditional vat dying method. Before the first wash, the back of each rug is mildly burnt with hand-held flame-emitting stoves. The rugs are given two rounds of rigorous washing, to provide the softest comfort underfoot. The finishing process includes hand shearing, with a unique and exaggerated one-sided tassel fringe. Each tassel is twisted and rolled by hand into bunches with a knot tied at each end, for a unique hand-crafted appeal.
