It’s a nice rug, I am a little disappointed in the thin spots along the edges in a couple of places. It looks good in my living room with my current furniture, the color is beige and a mid toned brown, not as dark as the pictures portray. It has shed an incredible amount, my robot vacuum has to go empty 1-2 times while vacuuming just the living room, it can do the rest of the house with 1 empty and there’s carpet in the 3 bedrooms. I wish I could take a photo that did this rug justice. It is absolutely gorgeous. The beige wool is almost golden. It makes the room so warm and cozy. It hasn’t had much time to rest so it may look a bit bumpyuneven. It will flatten overnight I assume. I vacuumed it thoroughly and it of course produced a lot of shed (to be expected with a wool rug), but it held up spectacularly. It’s so easy to vacuum, and is clearly of excellent quality. This rug was so absolutely perfect for my midcentury family room! The muted colors and optional illusion , mod design really pulled the space together. I did run my heavy duty, sweeper on it immediately. The result was a noticeable and soft fluffy feel under my bare feet. I am going to start with I love this rug, but this is not the rug I ordered. I ordered a textured ivory rug. Wayfair worked with me to resolve the issue. I returned the rug 2 times and the 3rd time I gave up. With that being said, I ordered the rug to put in my daughters room under the bed after we ripped up her carpeting and put down Pergo flooring. I told my daughter we were just keeping it and was still going in her room and when we completely unrolled it, she said she loved it. Regardless if I wanted ivory, this rug is still beautiful. It came well packed with several layers of heavy duty plastic ensuring that the rug was not damaged in transit. The quality of the rug is amazing and I have seen minimal shedding as opposed to other wool rugs we have. The backing is a soft fabric type and doesnt need a pad for my purpose because I have a bed holding it in place. I would recommend a pad if it doesnt have furniture on it to prevent slipping. I took off one star because this wasnt what I ordered, but I am still extremely satisfied with the rug. It is probably for the better since ivory would have gotten dirty over time and because of the color variation in the rug you will most likely never see any wear.
