Good solid base. The one drawback is that it is really really heavy. You can't pick it up by the base post or it will void the warranty so if you are not comfortable picking it up to move it by the edges I would think twice. The plus side is that the umbrella probably isn't going anywhere unless there is a hurricane. Nice base just didn’t fit my candaliver umbrella. The Wayfair rep told me it would definitely fit and is adjustable. A part was missing and the two sets of directions are horrible! Wayfair routed my call to the distributor that goes by another name until I said I bought it from Wayfair then we were on the same page. Good gravy!
