Cast Iron Free Standing Umbrella Base

Good solid base. The one drawback is that it is really really heavy. You can't pick it up by the base post or it will void the warranty so if you are not comfortable picking it up to move it by the edges I would think twice. The plus side is that the umbrella probably isn't going anywhere unless there is a hurricane. It looks like there is a possibility to put casters on where the little rubber feet are so that's something I may explore down the road.

At 95lbs this base is heavier than the children I was employing to hold the umbrella before and does a much better job to boot!! Excellent ROI with no healthcare requirements with COVID-19 around we had to layoff the children for Social Distancing reasons anyway! But seriously, this base is heavy!! Good news is that it rests on rubber bumpers that should help it avoid accelerated rusting from being in constant contact with the deck. Also has a drain hole for the post holder, plusses on that! It got four stars because one of the tightening screws was bent and they are not stainless, should be for the price. Will be replacing now so I dont have a problem down the road. My wife thinks its ugly (but couldnt beat the practicality) so I ordered an umbrella side table to go over the top of the stand. Will add some nice platecup surface while enhancing the look!! (BTW WAYFAIR I really dont employ small children)

Product probably ok if it wasn’t damaged in shipment. Wayfair replaced the item but the second one also arrived damaged. Very poor packaging by the vendor. Beware.
