Heavy and sturdy

Hate this item, the umbrella post is at one side so the umbrella blows over repeatedly. I wish I had returned it but left it too late

Just what I needed for new umbrella

Great stand. Extremely heavy and expect it to hold up well

I was quite pleased with this stand for the first 3 months of ownership. Unfortunately it only becomes clear after some regular usage that it’s a poor quality product. The base tightens to the umbrella with a simple bolt that you screw in. The problem is that over time you have to keep tightening that bolt, and the plastic screw hole stripped gradually (completely normal tightening, nothing overzealous). At this point if we get any kind of wind, it’s a total liability. It has fallen over at least once in light wind - it would be unusable in moderate wind. Other reviews have mentioned the same. If you live in an area with any wind, stay away.
