It's made from solid parawood and has low, tapered legs with an aspen gray finish that shows off that wood's natural grain color variation. It's upholstered in classic polyester with a noble platinum finish that's accented by sleek aged brass nailheads. The bed is more than meets the eye, with a hidden compartment that is tastefully innovative and easy to access. Beneath the mattress, a hydraulic system reveals ample storage space neatly tucked away, while a fully removable slipcover allows for easy cleaning -- a classic design with a tasteful twist of modern convenience.

4 1/2 hours to put together!!!! The color ‘white’ on the website is more of a beige and the fabric looks almost linen-y. The hydraulic works well and there’s a ton of storage. Note that the base in the bed is not that sturdy and you won’t be able to put anything heavy in it. You absolutely will need 2 people to put this together. The bed sits much higher than what is shown in the photo. This bed does not sit like a lower profile/platform bed. The actual quality of the bed is great but the description was misleading.. Spectacular daybed! I bought this daybed to go at the foot of my bed like a massive bench. It did not disappoint! Assembled was straight forward. Just attach the legs if want it to sit up about an inch higher. Then slide the armrests in the corresponding metal grooves on both sides and you're done!
