The lamp actually requires a type B bulb, with a 25 watt maximum… not a standard 60w bulb. 2. Also note that the only switch is on the cord, there is not the traditional switchknob on the base to turn it on off… a bit inconvenient since I prefer the cord to be as hidden as possible, but otherwise a beautiful addition to my apartment!.
