Beautiful rug! Sheds like crazy but worth it! Thankfully, we have no indoor pets or small children, hard wood floors throughout the house and the rug is in a very low traffic area...so keeping up with the shedding takes very little effort. To give an idea of the shedding... I raked my fingers through it to fluff it after opening and got enough wool to make a matching sweater (see photo)! The next day I sat on it and was covered in wool so ran my stick vacuum over it and got a plastic grocery bag full of wool. It's handwoven from polyester, and it has a 0.35" pile height to provide ample cushioning underfoot. And even with a canvas backing, we recommend pairing it with a rug pad (sold separately).
