I was looking for 54-inch curtains, and these fit the bill. They are semi-sheer as advertised. I live in a single-family house above the street, so I'm not worried about privacy from the street, only from the next-door neighbors. I went outside at night to look in with the curtains closed, and I couldn't see in, just a bit of light from a lamp. My only quibble with these curtains is they were very creased, probably from being in the packaging so long. I washed them in cold water and line-dried them, then used a warm iron. Still creased, but slightly less so. I'm hoping that over time, they'll ease up.
