This area rug has a soft-toned palette and flatweave design that pairs well with a variety of different aesthetics and color palettes. It’s handmade in India from wool and silk for a cool-casual look we love. Perfect for both high-traffic areas like entryways or living rooms as well as less-traveled spaces like bedrooms, the two-tone color palette has an understated elegance that proves neutrals aren’t boring. Just between us: To reduce shifting and sliding, we recommend adding a rug pad (sold separately) underneath.
Was glad I trusted the other reviews. Rug is luxurious with regard to the colour, the texture, the thickness, and the quality of the wool. No smell when unrolled. Colour is between a light and medium grey and is beautiful. Backing of the rug shows blue but no blue tones in the grey. It’s a pure grey (no brown tones either). Its very soft. We originally bought it for our bedroom, which we have lots of whites and taupes in. I didn't like it against the white, it looked quite yellow next to our white bedding. But we brought it downstairs to our family room, where it looks great with the colors. Our sofas are off white.
