The sturdiness of the desk and the depth provide the perfect surface to display and use my computer and printer with still room to write things . Disappointed that the description of this product says there is a "finished back" because there 100% is not. This desk should be pushed up against a wall or other item and the back obscured. There is just some cheap backing (that is not even the same wood tone as the desk) nailed onto the backside of the drawers.
