I love this waste can. I love the height of it.

This was a ridiculous amount of money to spend on a trash/recycling bin, but when you think of it as a piece of furniture...well, it's slightly more palatable. We've been using 2 bins, one for trash, the other for recycling for years but it was such a mess constantly all around and the look was just...unappealing...right in the middle of the action. So I saw this and decided to pay the price. I'm glad I did. This is an attractive piece that functions so well to contain the necessary. I love the touch lid; I'm not a fan of the foot levers as I have never seen one that has any longevity in anyone else's kitchen and that requires your bin to be floor level. The raised bin here is awesome; the handles make it so easy to move to sweep (when I do sweep lol). It fits under a standard height kitchen counter perfectly. The design of the lid allows the bin to be flush again the base cabinet and still function perfectly. I like the smaller sized bins inside as it forces us to take the garbage and recycling out more frequently because the stink usually builds before the bin is full in our household of two, so this functions better for us. Even in a larger household, if you keep the kitchen bins dedicated for just the kitchen, it should function well if you don't mind a more frequent chore, but if your household uses the kitchen trash as the main source of trash and you are a larger household, then you don't want this dual bin, you want the singular one. P.S. Don't judge my real life messy kitchen!!!

Expensive but 100% worth it. Great for small spaces. Clean modern look. We love it.

Arrived with a few cracks on the inner bins. Very poorly made for the price. Mostly plastic. Cute concept, but too costly for the overall quality. Returned.

Broke within a week, and birch lane is not offering any resolutions.
