The rug that I received bore zero resemblance to the one that I received - a byproduct of the fact that this Surya line is entire handmade, so depending on who weaves it the final can vary quite a bit, I have since learned from Perigold. In my case: The color and texture were dramatically different, along with the fringe detail. Online pic shows short, neat fringe. Mine had 10 or so fat, pigtail-sized tentacles, about 6 inches long, on each end. I am a big fan of Surya rugs in general, but this one was a complete miss for me! Returned.

Very nice rug! Could be used in any room. Dress it up with pillows and throws for even your living room. Multipurpose rug as it was going in the family room but looks great in my sons bedroom with the bedding I bought from Perigold! So very confortable and soft!
