The chair doesn’t allow you to sit up. It only has a reclining setting, i.e. it only allows the back to be reclined or flat instead of more straight. This makes it difficult to sit up or read when sitting in this chair. Also, the arms don’t extend past the back cushion, meaning that the arm rests are basically useless. The chair is comfy overall and looks good, but the functionality really misses the mark.

Beautiful, comfortable, and elegant! Easy to put together. Only complaint is that the hardware had opened up and was scattered all throughout the box including hard to reach places within the furniture itself.
