The chair is beautiful and comfortable but it is not black. It comes in a box with the color labeled as charcoal but the actual color is more of a dark green/brown color. Just be aware that the advertised color is false and the manufacturer will stand behind this color (see photo) being black. If you actually desire a black chair I would not recommend this chair.
