As others have mentioned the globe is plastic (not glass) but it absolutely doesn’t look like plastic and frankly helps take the pressure off a bit when changing the bulb. The brass leans the tiniest bit rise but you can’t tell when installed. We got this to complement RH brass wall hooks ($$$) and it looks amazing both on and off which was important to us.
