It is super easy to put together and especially for a girl like me who is single, I didn't need any help. The shade can be adjusted, providing different angles of light to suit your needs. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lamp is beautiful. It was easy to install and seems well made. It easily adjusts left and right. Adjusting it up is a little more finicky and the head will tilt down and not stay in place. Other than that, no issues.
