Agate forms in bands over a very long time, and a platter cut from it carries that history across the surface. Its organic outline keeps the piece looking informal, which is rather the point. Set it on a coffee table with candles and books, or bring it out for cheese and chocolate when people arrive.

I had some trouble actually getting these as there was some confusion as to delivery. I did finally receive them and they are quite nice. Pretty color and a nice weight.
