It's not so dark it looks like a speck of dirt as I feared. I'm still not wildly in love with that element but my boyfriend and friends all think it's super fun, so who am I to complain? The flatware set is beautiful and sturdy. The gold color matches and or compliments our existing pieces in the kitchen. The weight of each piece signals quality, and the sleek design allows each flatware piece to be easily held. We wanted a unique set and this definitely delivered! One minor flaw with the delivery -- the items were not packaged securely for transit. The delivery box arrived damaged and upon opening it, we noticed the box did not have any packing material inside. This caused our pieces to shift around during transit and resulted in pieces either scratched, dented, or both. However, I reached out to customer support and they were extremely helpful and empathetic to what occurred during transit. I am getting replacement pieces sent out to me soon.
