This set is excellent. The dinnerware is off-white in color and glossy. I used the dishes to entertain during the holiday. I chose the off-white color as they easily matched other dinnerware I have. They are pretty heavy but also sturdy. They are dishwasher and microwave safe, although they did get hotter than usual in the microwave (on high for 30 seconds) so you may want to reduce the time used in microwave. My dish set just arrived! They are so pretty. Stonelike appearance like they just got made. Irregular shaped which I enjoy. They are an off-white creamy white color. The mugs can be held with the handle or in your hand because they have little notches perfect for holding on the sides. Love these! Beautiful and never get hot in the microwave. The are durable and a good weight. Edit I removed one star because they chip easily! At least half of the dishes that we bought has a chip now! So disappointed.
