Payne Stoneware Coffee Mug

Cute mug, but unfortunately it heats up when coffees in it. To the point I can’t pick it up. I’ll use it on a table with flowers in it.

I like the graceful, organic shape and large size very much. And the subtle color tones are perfect for my scheme. They are too hot to handle when filled with boiling water temperature and must cook about 3 + minutes to lift safely. Also, quite disappointingly, 3 of the 7 mugs I purchased have significant flaws in the glaze- a horizontal ridge across the middles and dimple spot with no glaze at all- such that I feel they should have been labeled and discounted as seconds.

Needs to be insulated so I can pick it up without burning my hands

Mugs are pretty, though a bit large to get hand around comfortably. Mug was pretty hot to hold with coffee inside.

I got the cups to go with a tea kettle. The green color was a perfect match, but the cups get really too hot to handle so I have to wait until tea cools too much.

After it was received broken, twice. I love them. They are perfect!

Too large for coffee, too Small for a plant base

These are more elegant than the pictures show. The weight is wonderful in your hand and they also keep your coffee the proper temperature for a decent amount of time.

Beautiful. I bought these to use as stylish pencil cups on my desk. They are perfect. Now I think I need a couple more to use as small vases as well as for their intended purpose.
