MODAN Stoneware Dinnerware Set

Like the look and feel of dishes, however they do NOT fit in my dishwasher….will have to wash by hand!!!

LOVE these. All of our friends/family compliment our dishware. The extra lip on the plates make these mess-free and also incredibly cool.

These are so close to being awesome but miss the mark on several points. The lip is so high they don’t fit in our very large Bosch dishwasher. As others have mentioned, they also do not stack well. It’s more of a teetering on top of each other, but they don’t nest. And lastly, the bottom is so rough it will definitely scratch counters and table tops. I wanted to return, but Wayfair was a $60 return fee so I haven’t decided what I’m gonna do with these yet. They don’t work for us though. Unfortunate because they are gorgeous and nice and heavy. A simple coating on the bottom and cutting the lip in half, height wise, would make these amazing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dinnerware set is remarkable. The impeccably colored stoneware is simple but sophisticated, elevating the dishes to the level of art. The set utilizes modern shapes that are appropriate for both casual and fine dining. The subtlety of the service for four makes it well suited to pairing with a wide range of flatware and glassware. While the dishware can't claim responsibility for making food taste better, it certainly makes it look better. With a large presentation space, food looks more palatable. I believe that we eat with our eyes first and these definitely up your game in that sense (pun intended). The high rims also help to reduce mess. Aspects such as microwave safe and dishwasher safe add to the appeal. Despite the latter, the dishes are bulky and not altogether conducive to being cleaned in the machine. In retrospect, there are a few aspects that I would take into account prior to purchase. Chief among these considerations is that the dishware is not the most stackable and as such present a storage challenge. They should ideally be used with a tablecloth to prevent scuffs or damage to the underlying surface. Lastly, they are weighty and not ideally suited to children. Nonetheless, this is a high quality, durable set that I'd buy again.
