Heavy Base Libbey Highball Glasses (Set of 8)

Same as the Heavy Base Rocks Glasses I tried, these glasses have the potential to be truly fantastic. Unfortunately, when I received these glasses, they were not. These rocks glasses had what looked like striations on the glass and looked like machining marks. Additionally, while the heavy base may have been level for setting the glasses on a flat surface, the inside of the glasses base (where your beverage touches) was not and was almost diagonal. While I know these are not fine glasses or crystal, these glasses were not as flawless as shown by the items picture listing. I don't know if I received factory seconds by accident but I ended up returning them. I would absolutely love something that looked exactly like the listing pictured (simple, elegant, brilliant clarity, with a kind of classic contemporary minimalism that is timeless and pairs with everything) but unfortunately that was not the case with the lot I received. Perhaps I will have better luck next time.
