There were obvious noticeable defects in the glaze on the first dish we opened. More defective pieces followed. Made in China. Very poor quality.

UPDATE: They're junk. We've had the dishes for exactly 1 year. In the last month they started chipping. Now at least 8 pieces are chipped. Joss and Main won't address the issue because it's been more than 30 days. I guess plates should only last for 30 days now? Buyer beware. These plates are gorgeous. The black is absolutely mesmerizing. They are sturdy and wash beautifully. Thrilled!
