Wow! What a great deal. These stoneware salad "bowls" are very versatile. I would describe them as more of a plate since the bottom is completely flat. The photo shows the diameter is small enough that it fits right on a dinner plate without a foot. I ordered the Pale Jade and the glaze has a beautiful, slightly crackled finish -which I tried to show in the closeup image. I did notice a tiny pinpoint imperfection in the glaze on one of the bowls, but it does not detract from the beauty and value!
