It’s very cute. I didn’t realize the power is just for charging your phone, not for the reclining function but that’s my fault for not reading properly. This chair is for my mom's 80th birthday. I searched far and wide for a recliner that did not look like a recliner but a contemporary chair to match her stylish living room. I then found the Amada chair. It has all of the appearance of a chair and non of a recliner. Our first delivery was a disappointment, not for the chair but the delivery. The chair came with a cracked front leg. We were devastated. We contacted customer service and they helped us through the process for a replacement chair. A week or so later we received the replacement chair and it was perfect!. We now fight for the chair whenever we watch TV together! I would give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the delivery issue. You guys never disappoint! This chair and ottoman combo is perfect for our designated spot in our master bedroom. It gives us another spot to hang out vs being on the bed. Both chair and ottoman were protected with a type of bag so that the items do not rub or wear against the box - that’s what I am guessing. Keeping the boxes and both bags to repackage when we move. The feet of the ottoman are sturdy and plastic. We will be replacing them with wooden ones just to elevate the ottoman a little. But it’s totally unnecessary as the feet are sturdy and they are perfectly fine. They hardly show underneath. The quality of both are perfect! We are very very pleased! Thanks J&M! You rock! I’ve reviewed a lot of furniture through Tried True, and this power recliner honestly surprised me. The design is very clean and modern with straight lines that don’t scream “recliner,” which was a huge plus for me. It looks much more like an oversized accent chair than a traditional reclining chair, so it blends in well with the rest of my living room. The upholstery feels soft and has a nice neutral color that should work with a variety of decorating styles. The chair is generously sized with wide arms and a deep seat, making it comfortable for relaxing, reading, or watching TV. The power controls are built into the armrest, are easy to reach, and even include a USB charging port, which is a feature I appreciate. Assembly was minimal since it arrived in just a couple of pieces that locked together quickly. The reclining mechanism operated smoothly during my testing and wasn’t overly loud. The back and footrest moved at a comfortable speed, and I liked being able to stop it at different positions instead of being limited to fully upright or fully reclined. If I had one criticism, it’s that the seat is definitely on the firmer side. It isn’t uncomfortable, but if you prefer a plush, sink-in feel, this may not be the chair for you. I’m interested to see how it softens with more use over time. Overall, this is a stylish, well-built power recliner that offers modern features without looking bulky or outdated.
