Got 2 of these in black for my nightstands. Love the pull chains and the inside of the shade is gold so that helps illuminate as well. I read a review that said it didnt put out much light. With Led light bulbs, that is completely in your control. I choose to put in the 3500 Daylight color but may actually step it down to 3000 or 2700. The gold shade takes that cooler brighter light and warms it up. This lamp is heavily textured like stucco so if your looking for something smooth, this is not for you! Quality materials, and craftsman, and heavier weight. I just cant believe you have to spend 300. I returned the 239 black metal lamp with a travertine stone base because it was not quality. Love this lamp. I had originally purchased the smaller version of it but when received it looked way too small in the space. I like that it's simple and sleek and can go with many different types of decor. I did deduct one star because the lampshade I received has a very obvious and thick black thread woven into the linen and it's sadly really obvious and annoying when the lamp is both off and on. It's unfortunately right on the opposite side of the seam so I can't even turn the shade a bit to hide it because then the seam will be visible. This lamp is really lovely and decent quality but it ended up looking too small in the space I intended it for so I ended up getting the bigger version of it. Do note that since the lamp is quite small and the shade is a wide drum shape that if you have it set on a table you will be able to look directly down and see the light bulb very clearly.
