The bench was elegant, sturdy and light/easy to move. However there was a rustic/wooden smell to it, something that can be a feature in a large country house but not something we were necessarily looking for. The quality is very good, I'd say closer to 5 stars. There's some minor sheen differences in the wood that I expect will look more consistent after cleaning. Packaging was good also, very easy to break down and separate out the styrofoam and cardboard as I'm able to recycle both. However, the unit was damaged -- one leg where it curves to form the long "ski" broke clean through. I don't know whether to blame the packaging or the design of the unit (but it is very stout).
