I agree with others that it is slightly higher and sort of forces you to have really good posture. Compared to my previous table, it is about 3/4 inch higher. The color is a neutral brown and not very warm so it's not the greatest match to my chairs but I guess I will get new ones, but different can be good. You can comfortably sit 6 with people on the ends, maybe 8. One set of bolts was difficult to screw in and I stripped the heads so hopefully I never have to take this apart! This table is everything I dreamed of. First the color is perfect. I was looking for something with more browngray tones and the wood color on this table is perfect. Delivery was on time and very professional. The table comes in two parts. They were both packaged very very well and both pieces were perfect, free of any damage. The base is not too heavy but the table top is super heavy but I was able to help my husband with it. Just know you do need two people to assemble. Once you get the top on the base it attached with screws. It took my husband maybe 45 minutes. I can not recommend this table enough. It looks so high end. We purchased this table a few months ago and have been trying to “just live with it” since then. Out of the box we were optimistic but it sadly hasn’t grown on us. The finish is flat, the glazing has a number of imperfections (one quite noticeable on the top) and the stain is generally very far from what was pictured. Our dining room has various dark woods/walnut stains - from the floors, chairs, picture frames etc. We completely understood it would not match perfectly, but we’ve never quite seen this color brown. Honestly, it’s hard not to feel a little duped by the pictures. We have various other pieces by FourHands and they have been a go-to of ours when outfitting apartments (and now, our house).
