The color of the legs is not a bright gold like shown in the picture on the website, it's more of a distressed brass. There are little plastic pads at the 4 corners of each chair (leg) to protect your floors. The chairs are comfortabe to sit in. Love it! Only thing I wish was different was that the color and wood grain pattern of the legs were pretty different on the front vs the back legs.
