Before the first wash, the back of each rug is mildly burnt with hand-held flame-emitting stoves. The rugs are given two rounds of rigorous washing, to provide the softest comfort underfoot. The finishing process includes hand shearing, with a unique and exaggerated one-sided tassel fringe. Each tassel is twisted and rolled by hand into bunches with a knot tied at each end, for a unique hand-crafted appeal.

I absolutely love this rug. I got the runner. It is soft enough underfoot for me to stand on it barefoot a long time while I wash dishes. It has a slightly rough natural wool texture that gives it a high-quality resilient feel. This definitely isn't a rug that will wear out. I was concerned that the soft pink color would be too pink in person but it was true to the product images. Beautiful rug! The design and colors are very unique. Reason for 4 stars is because the rug is a bit scratchy (not soft at all) and very thin. Beautiful rug! The design and colors are very unique. Reason for 4 stars is because the rug is a bit scratchy (not soft at all) and very thin. I used the under rug pad and it helps but because it’s all wool it’s bumpy and scratchy. It is not a mix of cotton & wool which is my preference. On the upside - very little shedding.. Priscila A. I just received this rug and put it in my bedroom and it has exceeded my expectations. I love the size the abstract geometric pattern, and the cream and tan colors are very neutral and soothing . The rug is thicker than I had anticipated and appears to be very well-made. There were no odors when I opened it..
