I absolutely love this heavy-weight concrete lamp. The lamp base is speckled silver grey and is unique. The fact that I can use a 100 watt bulb is a great feature, as most table lamps have a 60 watt limit which is not bright enough. The lampshade is elegant and I find it to be the best feature. The only thing that I didn’t like was that the wattage sticker is on the front of the lamp and can be seen. You can’t turn the lamp around because the cord comes out the back side. These are so fun! They were larger than I expected but fit well on our buffet. The bowl of the shade is the size of a small cereal bowl but in proportion with the base. Got 2 of these in black for my nightstands. Love the pull chains and the inside of the shade is gold so that helps illuminate as well. I read a review that said it didnt put out much light. With Led light bulbs, that is completely in your control. I choose to put in the 3500 Daylight color but may actually step it down to 3000 or 2700. The gold shade takes that cooler brighter light and warms it up. This lamp is heavily textured like stucco so if your looking for something smooth, this is not for you! Quality materials, and craftsman, and heavier weight. I just cant believe you have to spend 300. I returned the 239 black metal lamp with a travertine stone base because it was not quality.
