As others have mentioned the globe is plastic (not glass) but it absolutely doesn’t look like plastic and frankly helps take the pressure off a bit when changing the bulb. Love this light overall but it always seems with cord hangings, they don’t quite hang straight. Also, where the cord attaches to the light, the screw was stripped out which made the cord bunch a bit.
