Height of the 4-compartment unit is good as a pedastal for setting keys, etc. I hoped the contaniers would be good for shoes, but they are slightly too small (I’m a men’s size 10) to store the shoes AND open and close the doors, since the doors cut into the interior space.. This was a great unit however the door to the middle shelf is not working and will not close. The hinge is stuck and the track is blocked and so it’s quite unusable.
