I just received these so I can't yet speak to their longevity--but they are very comfortable. I'm using them as porch chairs, and I love that I can fold them up and take them inside and not have to leave them out there in the elements. And I love that because they fold up and have the backpack straps I can take them with me to the park or the beach.
