Wusthof 16-Piece Knife Block Set

As with all other WÜSTHOF cutlery collections, GOURMET laser-cut stamped and full-tang* knives are crafted in the company’s factory in Germany. Well-balanced and durable, GOURMET knives are made of a high-carbon stain-free steel that resists rusting and staining, facilitates sharpening, and holds its edge. The high-impact GOURMET black handle is seamlessly attached to the blades with a triple rivet style for a hygienic and secure fit. (*Full-tang applies to blades that are 4-inches in length and longer.)

This set is the most user-friendly knife. A unique curved bolster supports the professional pinch grip with the thumb and index finger on the blade, for safe cutting and less fatigue. The chef's knife blade was redesigned with a broader curve in the front to facilitate the rocking motion of Zwilling JA Henckelsstern cutting, while the straight back is ideal for the Asian chopping motion. The full length of the blade can be used when cutting and can be sharpened from bolster to tip.

Stocked with both Asian and Western-style knives, this set has a knife to handle every kitchen task. Fabricated from high-quality German stainless steel, the fine-edge blades are perfect for precision cuts. The all-rounder 8" chef's knife is ideal for chopping herbs and dicing onions while the 8" bread knife cleanly slices through crusty sourdough. Efficiently mince garlic with the 7" hollow edge santoku, whose blade has small indentations, aka grants, which prevent food from sticking while cutting. The forged bolster construction seamlessly transitions from blade to handle for durability and balance. Designed for comfort and style, the ergonomic double-rivet handle features a sleek, stainless steel backing that looks as good as it feels.
