Vinum Port Wine Glass (Set of 2)

The Syrah/Shiraz/Tempranillo glass is perfect for balancing the gripping tannins and concentrated fruit typical of medium-bodied red wines. This shape was developed between 1993-1995 following sensory workshops in major Syrah and Shiraz growing regions. It is the most versatile RIEDEL shape for red wines, including Tempranillo. With a slightly tapered opening, the large bowl develops intense aromas and moutfilling fruit. It offers a dignified structure and long finish on the palate. Vinum is RIEDEL's basic varietal specific stemmed series. Designed in 1986 by 10th generation glassmaker Georg J. Riedel, Vinum was created to ensure every wine lover could afford varietal-specific glassware. Based on the handmade Sommeliers range, machine production means Vinum can be offered at a more accessible price. Premium machine-made and dishwasher safe. “PREMIUM” defines the advantage of a machine blown RIEDEL glass vs. A hand-made glass. The difference lies within the precision. Since RIEDEL glasses are fine-tuned instruments that support your wine enjoyment, we must make sure that there are no variances in the execution of the bowl and rim diameter, which is the key to our philosophy! This pack contains 2 pieces.

I love everything about this brand so I was anticipating I would get great glasses…and I did. They are packaged wonderfully, with a lot of information about the specific glass you pick (Shiraz for me). Very happy with these and they were packaged very well from Wayfair.. Michael. Mon May 08 2023

The pinot noir glass is perfect for light-bodied red wines with high acidity and moderate tannin. This glass highlights the rich fruit-forward characters and tempers the high acidity of the wine. The diamond-shaped bowl captures all the nuances of the wine's aroma, as the extreme angles offer more space for the characters to develop. The Extreme glasses are named after their extreme contours. The bowls mimic polished diamonds and their wide angles allow plenty of room for the wine to breathe. They are specifically designed to enhance and emphasize the pleasant softness and generally fruity notes of the new world wines.

It’s a wine glass. I use it to drink wine. If I didn’t have a wine glass I would use a red solo cup so I’m not sure how to really review these glasses.. Kimberly. Mon Jul 27 2026
