I ha a small sqaure space for a dining room table. A square table just didn't do it for me. This 60" round table comfortably seats 6 and adding 2 more chairs works to seat 8. The table is beautiful, solid and well made. It is a bit darker than appears, it’s a deep Oak. I wish it was slightly more chestnut. The delivery was disappointing since the gentleman brought mud in on their boots. I had to steam clean the carpets. They did bring it inside though. I agree with others that it is slightly higher and sort of forces you to have really good posture. Compared to my previous table, it is about 3/4 inch higher. The color is a neutral brown and not very warm so it's not the greatest match to my chairs but I guess I will get new ones, but different can be good. You can comfortably sit 6 with people on the ends, maybe 8. One set of bolts was difficult to screw in and I stripped the heads so hopefully I never have to take this apart! This table is beautiful. We love the herringbone detail, however it doesn’t look like natural distressing. It’s too consistent and repetitive. Also, this table is slightly higher than the standard 30” height. We have 17.5” chairs and we sit LOW. My mom is 5’2” and she uses two cushions. I am 5’5” and the table comes mid-chest.
