Soleil 56" W 6-Drawer Dresser

dresser is nice, but drawers are a bit flimsy for the price I would have expected better quality

This dresser looks nice and the mango wood is beautiful. The soft close drawers work well. But the drawer bottoms and the back of the dresser are not solid wood. They are a made out of a thin, cheap-looking particle board that appeared to have glue stains on the edges. Not what I expected for the high price tag on this dresser. The packaging was solid, and I had to destroy to get to the dresser, so there was no way to box this up and return it. I ended up buying a roll of adhesive-backed velvet and lined all the drawers with it. Huge improvement!

This dresser arrived broken in several places and is very poor quality for the money. The length of the side was cracked, the top was coming off, and the bottom right drawer was cracked. Beyond that, it just feels and looks cheap. The customer service I have received is beyond pathetic. I explained to the first customer service agent I chatted with that I cannot return this item via FedEx pickup for 2 reasons: (1) I am 8 months pregnant and live in the second floor. I can’t get it back downstairs to the porch without hiring someone and spending even more money on a broken, defective product. I’m not willing to do that. This item weighs 117 pounds. (2) This item is so large that you have to cut the original packaging off, meaning I can’t re-package it. This first customer service agent had the audacity to suggest that I call and drive around to appliance stores to see if they will give me a box large enough. After going back & forth for more than an hour, this customer service agent agreed to have white glove pickup arranged. Did they do that? Nope. They set up the usual FedEx pickup that I had made clear wasn’t feasible. The second agent I texted with to ask why they scheduled FedEx front porch pickup after agreeing to white glove pickup terminated the conversation after referring me back to the email I received with the Fed Ex instructions. So I called. This agent promised me her manager would arrange white glove pickup and contact me within 3 business days. Did that happen? NOPE. So I called again. Amy - the agent today - was apologetic but the only one honest with me. She explained she could ask for white glove pickup, but it was not guaranteed. I have spent significant time and effort trying to get this defective, broken piece of furniture picked up to no avail. My only option is to dispute this charge with my credit card company because Joss and Main is actively trying to prevent me from returning and getting a refund.

Really beautiful wood grain— comes mostly assembled, but you have to use an Allen wrench to bolt in the legs and middle bar on the bottom, and to switch the hardware from inside the drawers to the outside. It’s packaged that way to keep the hardware safe. It’s on the smaller side, but fits my 50” tv on top, and is perfect for storing things like socks, underwear, or basic t shirts. Looks great in my coastal/vintage room I just designed, along with my Burl nightstands! Great find.

The dresser looks inexpensive and the top drawer does not open and close correctly. The dresser came assembled and the drawer can not be repaired. Joss and Main did credit 15% for the drawer.
