I agree with others that it is slightly higher and sort of forces you to have really good posture. Compared to my previous table, it is about 3/4 inch higher. The color is a neutral brown and not very warm so it's not the greatest match to my chairs but I guess I will get new ones, but different can be good. You can comfortably sit 6 with people on the ends, maybe 8. One set of bolts was difficult to screw in and I stripped the heads so hopefully I never have to take this apart! I probably would not have gotten this if I saw it in person but it 'works for me' for now,

This table is perfect. It’s heavy and substantial. It’s not too big or too small easily seats 6 adults. Its transitional would fit modern decor or traditional. It’s so classic!
