Because piece but just like other reviews, ours was missing the hardware for the drawers. It’s a bummer that there’s multiple accounts of this and still it doesn’t seem to get fully resolved.

Absolutely love. Surface was rougher than I expected (small splinters snagged when wiped with terry rag) but otherwise fabulous grounding piece to my kitchen!

My son assembled this piece for me. He said it was not difficult and the directions were clear. He commented also on how solid the piece was and felt it was well made. It looks beautiful in my kitchen.

This is a wonderful island with lots of storage and beautiful wood countertop. The pull out table is also fantastic and very solid. No wasted space with stupid bar seats no one uses.

Over four different appointments were scheduled where we were told it would be assembled. Four! We had to stay home from work four times and it would get cancelled within two hours of the appointment. It never was built by them. They felt it was sufficient that they refunded a partial shipping charge and that’s it. I wouldn’t have ever purchased from them if it wouldn’t have been assembled. Wayfair allowed 15 minutes for a handy pro to come out and build it. Then When I went to return it I was told it would cost me $250 as they would have to come back into the house and grab it from where they dropped it off. At that point I hired someone to do it and it took them 2.5 hrs as none of the hardware had any labels. Go figure. Communication with the team has been confusing. I asked for a discount at the end considering all of this mess and they said they refunded shipping and that’s it. Many other online stores sell this and others in different colors. I’d go to those and get info on who assembles it to make sure it happens the first time. It will take two strong people to flip the unit once built if you consider hiring or DIYing it. Needless to say, highly disappointing service and they could care less that we were left in the lurch this many times. The unit is good but the review is also to show that Wayfair doesn’t have the means to build this and oversold and over promised with no support.
