Gorgeous table as well as practical with the storage!!

The table is beautiful. HOWEVER, there is no protective finish on it. While condition was perfect when delivered, with NO rough handling a small chip developed. I have LOTS of wood furniture so I know a protective finish when I see one. I love the table design and I'm going to pay a LOT of $ for a protective finish. But the craftsman cannot put a protective finish on without knowing the paint used. I contacted Wayfair resolutions who said they tried to get info on original paint but could not. However, when I got the name of Mercato, the manufacturer. I reached someone there who will try for me. I should not have had to do this. For consumers, be aware that there is NO PROTECTIVE FINISH on this item. It is beautiful and Mercato should fix it. Wayfair Resolutions should be more diligent. Very disappointed in failure to adequately stand by product

It arrived earlier than expected and arrived when promised. It was in perfect shape and is unique and beautiful. All that the picture presents.
