The only reason I gave it a 3 was because after ALL of the issues that ended up taking FOREVER to resolve (some of which I ended up resolving myself to avoid further delay), the bed frame is…. Fine. So far, at least. Firstly, I think it’s gross & intentionally misleading to create a whole new “brand” to look like a quality boutique manufacturer/distributor of furniture when it is (as you discover AFTER paying) simply Wayfair. According to Wikipedia, “Allmodern”, “Birch Lane”, and “Perigold” are all under Wayfair, as well. The first time they shipped it, the headboard was completely broken. They did replace it, however. When I went to actually build the thing (I have put together more furniture than I can even remember and generally do it VERY quickly.) it took me SO incredibly long due to the actual design, poor quality control (and thus needing to fix some issues, myself) and some instructions that were just flat out wrong. I made a video, but I think you can only upload pictures. Getting everything needed and actually assembling it was probably the worst experience I’ve had with assembling furniture (as well as with ordering it and receiving it without issue). That, combined with what in my opinion is intentionally and unethically misleading by labeling it a different brand initially made me want to score it at 1 or 2 stars. Since I’ve had it and slept in it ever since without issue (and thank the lord it doesn’t squeak…. At least mine doesn’t) I decided that would be unfair and gave it 3 stars.
