Barlow Solid Mango Wood Counter & Bar Stool

Had High Hopes. Received Huge Disappointment. Well, what can I say that these pictures don't say for themselves?! Although other reviewers are very happy with the stools they received, the ones that were delivered to me are very clearly junk. As you can see from the pictures, the wood used for the seats are filled with cracks, chips, and marks; and the attempts made to high these blemishes are simply sad. With regard to the construction of the stools... well, I'll just refer you to the pictures once again. As for the bases of the stools, they're made of thin hollow metal tubing so there is absolutely no heft to them which makes them feel very cheap and flimsy. Obviously, given the price point, I wasn't expecting to be blown away by the quality, but Joss & Main should be embarrassed for selling such a product. Needless to say, sending them back was a no brainer. I'm just hoping Joss & Main's return process isn't a nightmare. BTW, these pics are from two different stools.

How I struggled finding a barstool for our very low counter. I have learned more about stools in the last two months than I have ever wanted to know. Oh, and a little hint, when googling about stools, make sure you put the word kitchen in front of the word stool because if not, you are going to be learning about things, you necessarily did not want to know at that time. So there is counter and bar height. Our kitchen island is apparently on the shorter side. We were tasked with finding a barstool that was no higher than 24 inches for the seat. That was not easy. I finally found these amazing stools that my husband can fit under the oddly short kitchen island. We were going with a Wabi Sabi design in my home, I drove everyone crazy with that name, by the way, and these stools fit in perfectly. We were looking for natural elements in my house, and the different choices of wood for the stools were great. Not only that we got one and one of the seats was crooked slightly and the customer service at Joss and Main immediately stepped into action to help us. I have never ordered from this company before and now I absolutely will. These stools are great especially if you need a shorter option, but they also come in a taller version as well. Cheers.

Perfect look, gold metal frame is matte and is a dull color which I like as it blend’s really well with our decor. They tuck perfectly under the overhang of the counter top with only the curved end of the seat sticking out about 2” keeping walking area around kitchen island open.

I ordered five stool bars and two of them came damaged. Other three were in good shape.

We opened the boxes and they smelled like rotting corpse…. I’m not sure if it was the packaging material or the chairs but I returned them immediately! Customer service was amazing
