The chairs are solid and look nice, however backrest is not usable, because as soon as you lean back you slide off the front. I was hoping for chairs with a back support and these are not that. If you’re ok with not using the back rest, these look great.

Beautiful, solid stools! Fast delivery, beautiful frame and leather seat. Perfect lower back support while tucking neatly under the island. Exactly what we were looking for, classic and understated. Searched for months for just the right ones. Highly recommend!

I purchased three of these for seating at my kitchen island. The stools are sturdy but not bulky. The style is a perfect fit for my open floor plan room and the leather I selected very closely matches my sofa. Overall, I'm happy with them but I have one quibble. The wood is unfinished, which was a bit of a surprise. Instructions say to treat the wood with oil, but don't say anything about what type of oil to use. I contacted Joss & Main for some guidance. They sent a email query to the manufacturer, as did I. It's been over a month and I've heard nothing. It would be good to get an answer to my question.
