For over 150 years, Root Candles has crafted candles of uncompromising quality in Medina, Ohio prompted by Amos Ives Root’s passion for bees, beekeeping, and honey. Today, Root Candles still relies on the purity and naturalness of beeswax and bees that inspired its founder all those years ago. Root Candles are clean-burning, long-lasting, and luxurious.

These hand-finished tapers bring rich color and a gentle glow to your table. Made with a blend of beeswax and paraffin, they burn cleanly for up to 17.5 hours — long enough to light the mood from appetizers through after-dinner drinks. Comes as a set of four in your choice of color.

Shipped quickly and love the candles!. Susan. Rockford, IL. Fri May 31 2024

9.85" H x 2.75" W x 2.75" D, Black

Tall and narrow, this pillar reads more like a column than a candle, which is exactly why it works in a group. Solid wax runs the full height, so it burns down slowly and keeps its shape. Stand one alone on a side table, or line up several at staggered heights down a dining table.

Wonderful tall candles. I had to shape a little to fit on candlesticks but looks great.. Patricia. Yorba Linda, CA. Fri Jan 20 2023

11.8" H x 7.5" W x 7.5" D, Chamois

Wide and low, this candle behaves more like a bowl of light than a pillar. Five wicks sit across the surface, so lighting them all gives you a ring of flame rather than a single flicker. Set it on a tray in the middle of a table where guests can look across it easily.

Love the candles!. Dawn. IL. Sat Nov 18 2023

Spiral content. This on-trend taper candle showcases a sculpturally twisted silhouette that’s decorative whether you burn it or not. A range of rich hues, it’s crafted from unscented paraffin wax that won’t disrupt your dinner with smoke or drips. Set of two.

Beautiful in person but not packaged properly, one of the candles arrived damaged.. Lisa. Baltimore, MD. Wed Nov 30 2022

Chamois

Outdoor evenings ask for a bigger candle than a table would, and this one answers at full scale. Wax in a broad pillar form holds a flame steady on a patio table, a garden wall or a step beside the door. Its size means it keeps burning long after the last plate is cleared.

Ordered it by mistake. But really like it. I would just suggest maybe having a stand in your catalog for it.. Richard. Thu Mar 12 2026

9.45" H x 15.75" W x 3.15" D, Chamois

Rectangular pillars sit differently than round ones, holding a line along a mantel or a tray instead of breaking it. Two wicks light this one across its width, so the pool of light spreads rather than gathering in one spot. Pure wax throughout, with a clean block shape that suits a modern table as easily as a bookshelf.
