There are 3 strands I used on my banister without ribbon. There are loops on the the end of each strand that I used a twist tie to secure them together. I’d say this is pretty terrific for the price, for a pre lit garland. I bought two for the staircase pictured. It fluffs up well and I didn’t end up adding anything except some ribbons to cover the garland ties I used. (I’d planned to add on some berry garlands or something.) I wish it didn’t have quite as much of the basic faux greenery the real feel tips and fir tops are super convincing, and I think the pinecones are real, but the base greenery is what you’d expect in an old-school faux tree or garland and ruins the illusion a bit..
