I really wanted to love this box and did based on the pictures, but the box I actually received just wasn't the quality I was expecting. I was expecting a smoother, more polished stone, and got a courser stone with clear carving/etching marks on the inside and outside. The gold stripes on the top had etch marks in them too and weren't smooth or very shiny. Also, the edges of the lid had areas that weren't the same sheen and looked like chips. Overall, given all the little things that were unexpected about the box, I don't think it was damaged; I think its quality just didn't match my expectations.
