Oval and cut from solid marble, this tray has real presence for something that mostly holds small things. Its long, softened outline runs down the middle of a console or a dining table, and the raised sides keep bottles and candles in one place. Weight is part of the appeal here: it stays exactly where you set it.

Narrow enough to sit behind a faucet and long enough to hold what usually clutters the edge of a sink, this marble tray earns its footprint. Its softened, organic rectangle reads less rigid than a straight-cut slab. Stone carries the weight of a soap pump and a candle easily, and the veining shifts from one piece to the next.

This piece is beautiful. Solid marble. Well made. But … it is teeny!!! The picture makes it appear to be SUBSTANTIALLY longer than it is. Very deceiving. After being ‘tricked’ too many times from you all, I have learned you have to search through the description to find the exact dimensions, don’t trust what the pictures appear to be.. Linda D. Deep walls and a compact footprint make this as much an object as a vessel, the kind of thing that looks intentional sitting empty. Terracotta gives it a grounded, earthy weight. Fill it with fruit on a counter, or let it stand empty on a dining table and still earn its spot.
