Colberg Table Vase

Amazing what sticks in your head as an artist. One such memory was a project at craft camp as a child. We layered colored sand under glass to create patterns. Years later, I am still playing with patterns! Neutral colors layer on the surface of this hand-blown tapered glass vase. Pair with the additional pieces in the collection to complete the look.

Squat proportions make this jar easier to place than a tall vessel, because it slips under a shelf or a low-hanging pendant. Terracotta keeps the surface soft and earthy, so it plays well with wood, linen and stone. Set it on a dining table with a few stems, or leave it empty on a bookshelf.
